OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - More funding for a state college scholarship program is needed because lottery revenues aren’t as high as expected, state higher education officials say.

As the Campaign for A More Perfect Centre moves into its final 12 months, the James Graham Brown Foundation of Louisville has awarded the College a $1 million challenge grant for endowment growth. The terms of the grant require the College to first raise $3 million in new scholarship endowment monies between December 1, 2006, and December 31, 2007—the Campaign’s end date. The $3 million in new endowment monies may be added to any existing scholarship fund or used to establish new endowed scholarships. When the $3 million goal is reached, the Brown Foundation will present $1 million to the College for the endowment of the James Graham Brown Scholarship Fund. » Read more after the jump →

Greencastle, Ind. - Marisa L. Mokodean, a junior Media Fellow at DePauw University, is among fifteen students from fourteen different campuses who have been awarded scholarships in the Broadcast Education Association’s 2007-08 competition.
