The L’Oréal, the cosmetics and beauty group and HEC Paris management school in France, are creating a centre which will promote innovation in management science and also gather together the school’s activities related to leadership.
The Visions of Leadership Center will examine dimensions of leadership - including corporate, political and social and will give students the opportunity to explore their own concepts of leadership through discussions with executives and experts in the subject.
Jean-Paul Agon, chief executive officer of L’Oréal, says the success of the company is tied to the leadership qualities of its managers.
“L’Oréal’s strategy is based on innovation, organic growth and globalisation. Our involvement with the HEC Vision of Leadership Center will improve our performance and maintain our competitive edge,†he says.
