The scholarships will be awarded at the DTDC Annual Awards Dinner/Dance to be held on June 22, 2008 at the Failte. Criteria for the scholarships vary between the High School, Middle School, Elementary and students attending the primary school.
Poster contests are being conducted for the children in the 2nd grade and 5th grade who are residents of Delaware or Dingmans townships. Submitted posters will be on display at the Delaware Twp. Municipal Building from May 17th-May 31st. Essays are required for 8th grade Ding-Del Middle school students and for graduating students at the Delaware Valley High School. The scholarship program is a joint effort between the DTDC, businesses and interested individuals. Cheryl Glenn, Chair of the DTDC stated, “It’s up to all of us to do what we can to support our teachers and our children. The scholarships are our way of helping parents defray some of the costs of supplies and books.â€
