NEW YORK — /PRNewswire/ — To address construction concerns in today’s economic landscape, McGraw-Hill Construction’s Engineering News-Record (ENR) and the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) are bringing the second annual ENR/CURT Construction Business Forum to St. Charles, Missouri (St. Louis metro area) at the Ameristar Hotel & Casino on June 10-11, 2008.
Robert Murray, vice president of economic affairs for McGraw-Hill Construction, will share facts and figures for planning in this year’s bumpy market with the Forum’s 300 attendees. His update to the 2008 projections for U.S. construction start activity will offer insights on changing prospects for nonresidential building and public works. This will be the first presentation of 2008 where the Economic Outlook Midyear Report will be distributed.
Participants will also meet and network with major owners to learn about construction trends and to discuss timely industry issues, such as the business case for sustainability, workforce case studies, and successful collaboration in a technology-driven age. Presenters will examine changing industry dynamics and exchange ideas for adapting in a global environment where construction costs are rapidly rising and contractor resources shrinking. The Forum audience is made up of owners, contractors, facility
managers, construction managers, engineers, architects, equipment and building product manufacturers.
