Dr. Robert W. Egdell has kept a small, well-worn notebook in which he writes the name of each baby he has delivered since the first one at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna in 1975.
That running tally reached a landmark recently for Egdell of Northeast Ohio Obstetrics and Gynecology in Ravenna, when he delivered his 6,000th baby at Robinson Memorial Hospital Birth Center.
Egdell figures he has delivered more than 7,000 babies factoring in his two years as lieutenant commander and senior medical officer in the U.S. Navy and while interning. » Read the rest of the entry..
